Tour from Marrakech

A tour of desert Morocco can include a variety of activities and sights. Here is a suggested itinerary:

Day 1:

Arrive in Marrakech and explore the city, including the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Menara Gardens.

Day 2:

Take a day trip to the Ourika Valley, where you can hike to waterfalls, visit traditional Berber villages, and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Day 3:

Head to the desert city of Merzouga and take a camel trek into the Sahara to see the sunset and spend the night in a traditional desert camp.

Day 4:

Take a 4×4 tour of the desert dunes, visiting nomadic Berber families and learning about their way of life.

Day 5:

Visit the Todra Gorge, a stunning canyon that offers opportunities for hiking and rock climbing.

Day 6:

Head to the Draa Valley, where you can visit traditional kasbahs and palaces, and explore the Tamegroute pottery village.

Day 7:

Travel to the city of Zagora, known for its mud brick architecture and the famous “52 days to Timbuktu” sign.

Day 8:

Return to Marrakech and explore the souks (markets) and the Bahia Palace.
